BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers/ Professional Rescuers
This American Heart Association course covers the following topics:
- Adult Chain of Survival
- Scene Safety and Assessment
- Adult Compressions
- CPR Mask and Bag Valve Mask Use
- 1 Rescuer Adult BLS
- AED Use
- 2 Rescuer Adult BLS
- Child BLS
- Infant BLS
- Adult, Child, and Infant Choking
This class is appropriate for professional rescuers: nurses, EMTs, dental/doctor's offices, and many other healthcare professions (non-healthcare providers can take our Adult, Child, Infant CPR or Adult, Child, Infant CPR & First Aid class). Students will receive an AHA certification card valid for two years immediately upon completion of the course (there is both a physical skills test and a written test required). There are no prerequisites for this course; enrollment is not limited to healthcare professionals.
Cancellations, Refunds, Terms:
Cancellations by individuals received more than 48 hours before class start time will receive a full refund less a $10 service fee per enrollment. Cancellations by groups* received more than 10 days before class start time will receive a full refund less a $10 service fee per enrollment. Requests received after the stated deadlines will not be eligible for a refund or transfer. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late to class will not receive a certification card, or be eligible for refund or transfer. Proficiency in English is required to participate in, and receive a certification card for the class. The presence of a translator does not waive this requirement. Translators are not permitted in class.
*A group is 4 or more individuals signed up by one person or organization for the same class session.
